Woofenden Sponsors Mountain Cycle Climb

We’re delighted to sponsor our local cycling club, the Kentisbeare Oldies Cycling Society (KOCS), on their upcoming charity ride in the Alpes.

The KOCS will be joining Neil Millen as he attempts to cycle the vertical height of Mount Everest, 29,029 feet, in order to raise funds for and awareness of Graves’ Disease. The disease, which affects both Neil’s wife and daughter, is an auto-immune thyroid condition.

They’ve been doing a lot of training rides, whizzing past our office and practising on the hills of Devon. They set off on 9th June and will be sporting these super team shirts. We look forward to seeing the photos of their gruelling challenge when they get back.

The team consists of: Paul Clifford, Simon Cooper, Vernon Gibbons, Jez Jacob, Neil Millen, Neil Rushton, Justin Stanbrook, Duncan Thorne, Ric Tillett and Giulio Venturi. If you’d like to support them, you can donate here.
