Unfortunately, a considerable portion of the wall plaster and lath had deteriorated over the years. Consequently, we had to strip it back and commence the restoration from scratch. The challenge we faced was preserving the intricate coving and architraves, ensuring a seamless integration with the new elements to maintain a cohesive appearance upon completion.
Working with the architect and interior designers the property went from a derelict property to an extremely well presented and beautifully finished six bedroom, six bathroom home.
The derelict property had been empty for two years and was extremely run down. The farmhouse was large and required a vast amount of work to bring it back to its former glory. Being a listed building, it was important that we preserved the fabric and features of the building as best we could.
The contract manager was Hadland Manning Bullock working on behalf of Dunster Estates. We worked alongside a commissioned architect and interior designers.
