Saving St Anthony’s

We were called upon to make safe this Westcountry church after a drunk driver crashed into it.

In mid-November, St Anthony’s Church in Ottery St Mary suffered serious damage when it was hit by a drunk-driver. We were on hand the very next morning to make the building safe.

Works involved propping, boarding and fencing off etc. Ivor went back on Friday to remove part of the gable end, which was precarious. We worked respectfully, trying to save the stained glass where possible.

At the moment, we will have to await the Surveyors’ further instructions about reinstatement works, but will let you know developments as and when we receive them.
